Our school offers hot lunches. These lunches are served in accordance with standards set by the National School Hot Lunch Program. Prices are determined according to cost. If family circumstances warrant, special arrangements can be made with the program coordinator. Lunch or milk tickets are purchased as needed and each ticket is good for five servings. Parents are urged to make use of the hot lunches for their children. These meals are well-planned, nutritious, and the cost is reasonable.

We are interested in your child's spiritual welfare. Attending Lutheran Elementary School, however, is no substitute for our weekly church services. God's command to us is "Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy." Church attendance is kept throughout the school year and this record is included with each student’s report card. We hope this church attendance record helps remind both students and parents of the importance of regular church attendance

The children of our Day School are often asked to praise God in song for some of our worship services. Please have your child at church to sing on the days their class is scheduled. Imagine how disappointing it must be for a teacher who has spent time preparing their students to beautify the worship service, only to have half the class show up. A master singing schedule is published at the beginning of the school year. Also, parents will be notified through the school newsletter or a note directly from the teacher.

A Science or Art Fair is held each spring to display the various projects children have done in these subject areas. This encourages the children to extend their classroom learning in specific projects and gives parents an opportunity to view the work done by the children of our school.

A record of your child's daily school attendance is kept by his/her teacher and reported to you on each of his/her report cards. It is important for your child to attend school regularly. In case of sickness or family emergencies, you are to call the school and advise the school of the problem. Please send a note to the school ahead of time if your child is going to be absent because of a doctor, dentist, or eye doctor appointment. If your child should miss a day of school or be tardy, we ask that you please send a note or call stating the reason, upon his/her return. We strongly recommend that family vacations be scheduled according to school vacations. Work missed must be made up.
