NOTICE OF NONDISCRIMINATORY POLICY AS TO STUDENTS St. Paul's Lutheran School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of its education policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administrated programs.
ENROLLMENT PREREQUISITES Children wishing to enter our school should be five years old by September 1st of the year they enter Kindergarten. Children whose families are members of St. Paul's, Fort Atkinson; Bethany, Fort Atkinson; and St. John's, Whitewater are admitted tuition free. Other children will be accepted as tuition students. Immunization Requirements for Admission to Wisconsin Elementary Schools State Law (140.05 Wis. State) requires that all children entering a Wisconsin elementary school for the first time be immunized against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, polio, mumps, measles, and rubella. These requirements can be waived only if a properly signed medical or religious exemption is filed with the school.
REGISTRATION Registration for all pupils of St. Paul's School is usually held sometime in August for the coming school year. All, or part of, any registration fees should be paid at this time. Any balance is to be paid before the end of the school year. Religious books are to be purchased at the time of registration. Pre-registration for incoming Kindergarten children for the fall term is done in the spring of the year - usually during the first part of April
PRESCHOOL As part of our school a preschool for three and four year olds is conducted at Bethany Lutheran Church, 404 Roosevelt Street, Fort Atkinson. Bethany-St. Paul’s Preschool, as it is known, is a self supporting entity. Tuition is assessed to all preschool students. Students are to be three or four years old by September 1st. Parents may register their children for preschool on registration day.
SCHOOL HOURS The school day begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m. Students should not arrive before 7:30 a.m. The school doors will be locked until that time. This is so the teachers will have time to ready themselves for the school day before the supervision of students begins. Upon arrival at school, each child is expected to go directly to his or her room. Pupils who do not use the bus are asked to start for home as soon as possible after dismissal since the playground is not supervised after school hours. We are not responsible for any child on the playground other than during school hours.
